Why study Gypsies and Travellers?
Following from the Housing Act 2004 and Government Guidance of 2007, Fordham Research is now a leading consultant in the field of GTAAs, completing a London-wide GTAA, for other regions such as Essex and Cornwall, as well as individual local authority areas.
We work collaboratively with community interviewers to gain access to Gypsies and Travellers, exploring housing needs but also access and attitudes to education and healthcare services and travelling. Our studies also include elements of consultation with relevant stakeholders to achieve a successful study with appropriate recommendations.
Despite changes made by the Coalition Government, GTAAs are still considered relevant studies for assessing the local housing requirements of Gypsies and Travellers for local authorities.
